This idea started in Connecticut by a local business owner who would drive from job site to job site. He would constantly see mailboxes that had been knocked off right after a snow storm. Matthew Shamas, founder of Sno-flex, spent the next six months talking with colleagues about the idea and sketching multiple drafts. He rigorously tested numerous prototypes to ensure the function would be able to withstand any obstacle thrown at it. He involved local manufacturing companies to participate in the assembly of each product made. And after about a total of a years time, Sno-flex was officially made. To this day, each piece is manufactured in the state of Connecticut.

The goal was very straight forward. To help with the frustrations of mailboxes being wrecked by city plows. While many of us in New England choose to live here, there are many who do not like the snow. And having to spend money and time outside to repair your mailbox only makes it worse.
